The name thing sounds annoying. One of the things I love about Steampunk and Victorian things is having names I can actually easily read, unlike some fantasy where everyone is called Fagorjlasl and wepojtrlinlk. The slightly changed names sound a bit annoying, likewise the gender swap name thing. I also like the idea of the woman kicking ass but being sad about the damage to her outfits. I cringe over the damage to outfits! :P<br /><br />It is also interesting to see more stories with sorcery etc in Steampunk. Most of the things I am writing at the moment are quite magically based, and set in the Victorian era.
